Job Highlights

As the Agency Employee Transportation Coordinator (ETC), you will work within the Transportation Management Office to manage Administrative Pool vehicles, manage the Commute Trip Reduction.

In this role, you’ll be contributing to the safety of L&I employees and making it easy for employees to access the tools they need to Keep Washington Safe and Working.

Requirements

Some of what you’ll do:

  • Reserve and issue of Administrative Pool vehicles
  • Mileage and recordkeeping
  • Ensure that employees issued state vehicles:
    1. Have an approved Vehicle Justification form on file;
    2. If commuting between home and official work station, have an approved Commute Justification form on file.
  • Maintain data for statewide vehicles that includes, but is not limited to, mileage, commutes, responsible parties, undercover vehicles, underutilized vehicles.
  • Ensure safety and cleanliness of Administrative Pool fleet.
  • Assist in reviewing and processing state vehicle orders in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Maintain a visual dashboard that shows progress toward Transportation Management Office (TMO) goals. In addition, to maintain an efficient fleet management display board.
  • An assistant TMO data steward. A backup role when the TMO supervisor is not able to attend meetings or answer data related questions at the time of request.
  • Transport of fleet vehicles for maintenance, relocation, and other needs. Will require periodic trips to central Washington.
  • As the Employee Transportation Coordinator, manages and maintains the agency’s Commute Trip Reduction (CTR) program, coordinating all aspects to include the cash incentive program, guaranteed ride home program, reimbursement voucher program, ride match program, carpool program, vanpool program, STARS and ORCA pass programs.

Qualifications

Required:

  • A combined total of 4 years of education and/or experience assisting customers regarding inquiries, complaints, or problems.

OR

  • A Bachelor’s Degree

AND


Driving is a part of this job. A valid drivers’ license is required as a part of this job.


AND

  • The ability to take action to learn and grow.
  • The ability to take action to meet the needs of others.



Desired:

  • Education, training or certification in fleet management.
  • Experience working with Lean and/or other continuous improvement methodologies.

For this position, telework is not permitted. The assigned duty station for this position is Tumwater, Washington.
