About the position: This position will be assigned to the Eglin IT&T (Information, Tickets and Travel) Office.
This is a NAF (Non-Appropriated Fund) position assigned to the 96th Force Support Squadron at Eglin AFB Florida.
Position is Regular Part-time (RPT) guaranteed 20-34 hours per week and schedule may include weekends and holidays.

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social).
You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if the position allows for qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application.
Qualifying Experience: Must have progressively responsible experience with computer-based travel reservations and ticketing to include Money Change Orders (MCOs) and vouchers.
Simple clerical experience, bookkeeping experience, and ability to type and use computer is required. Must be able to read, write and speak English and have a clear speaking voice.
Ability to communicate both orally and in writing and possess skill in dealing with the public.
Condition(s) of Employment: Successful completion and favorable adjudication of applicable background investigation (Tier 1 Level) is required. Major Duties:
Serves as subject matter expert in dealing with disputes with industry representatives or other agencies.
Resolves customer concerns and conflicts in accordance with guidelines according to travel or tour requirements. Keeps director informed of out of the ordinary situations.
Directs the work of Travel Assistant(s) assuring approved policy changes and program improvements are implemented.
Responsible for records management to include files and receive, screen, review and verify documents for completeness and accuracy. Responsible for maintaining an up-to-date customer database.
Fully utilizes industry promotional/special events/tours by using customer database to disseminate information in a timely manner.
Assures after trip comment cards are completed by participants for use by management to determine trends and/or problem/improvement areas.
Provides clear and accurate guidance and coordination of leisure travel information and referral services for both individual and group customers.
Works interactively with co-workers in development of tours to both international and domestic areas.
Determines and initiates information displays or contacts with other agencies to assure travel information, i.e., special tours, rates are well advertised and current for use by base populace.
