Base salary range: $147,649 - $221,900

This job involves managing legal records and calendars in a prosecutor's office, including preparing paperwork for court sessions, entering data into databases, handling front desk duties like answering calls and processing bonds, and supporting attorneys during trials.

Salary: Range 47 - $36.21 (step one) - $45.90 (step ten) hourly*
Work Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm (hours may vary depending on assigned desk). Holiday coverage is occasionally required if there is lack of volunteers. This position requires overtime when the calendars run long.Work Location: In-person- Norm Maleng Regional Justice Center, 401 Fourth Ave N, Ste 2A, Kent. Employees assigned to these positions are considered mission critical.
Mission-critical employees are those who provide for and maintain the essential functions of the PAO. Mission-critical employees must be available to perform their duties as determined by management.
Investigation Calendar: 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. or end of calendar (overtime necessary) Input new investigation referrals and defendants in our PBK database.
Prepare calendar and paperwork for all individuals booked under a criminal investigation. Attend court with the prosecutor to prepare all bail and conditions of release paperwork ordered by the judge.
Docket all bail and Conditions of Release in our database.
Arraignment Calendar: 8:00 a.m.- 5:00 p.m.
Arraignment: prepare arraignment calendar, assist attorneys in court, docket accurate court calendars information for completion, and updating data entry.
Omnibus Calendar: 8:00 a.m.- 5:00 p.m.
Omnibus: prepare omnibus calendar, docket, updated completed guilty pleas, and heavy data entry.
Front Desk: 8:00 a.m.- 5:00 p.m. Answer phone calls from the general public and other agencies. Assist anyone who comes to the Records window or direct them to the appropriate place.
Scan Investigation packets into PBK. Prepare the daily bond calendar and process Judgment and Sentence paperwork. Process posted bonds. Provide discovery to defense attorneys.
