The Department of Community and Economic Development’s Office of Chief Counsel is seeking a skilled and professional Legal Office Administrator to support the legal and operational functions of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. Requirements

In this role, you will provide high-level administrative and analytical support to the Department of Community & Economic Development’s Office of Chief Counsel, performing independent, management-level legal support work across multiple practice areas.

You will serve as a key resource to several legal teams, ensuring accurate tracking, coordination, and execution of essential legal processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the Local Government Unit Debt Act (LGUDA) team by reviewing filings, tracking fees, and maintaining accurate records within the LGUDA database.
  • Assist the Right-to-Know Law team by coordinating with program offices to gather responsive materials and working with the supervising attorney to ensure timely, compliant responses.
  • Provide support to the Financing Transactional team, including tasks related to closing and funding loan transactions.
  • Deliver general administrative and legal support to the entire Office of Chief Counsel as needed, ensuring smooth daily operations and consistent workflow.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full-time employment.
  • Work hours are 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with 60-minute lunch.
  • Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time up to 2 days per week.

    In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania.

    If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg. The ability to telework is subject to change at any time.
