Salary: $5,369 to $6,535 per month (SR-22, Step D to I)

Requirements

This position is located in the Leasing Services Branch of the Division of Public Works, Department of Accounting and General Services (DAGS) and is responsible for independently performing all activities required to acquire and maintain leases for commercial office space for agencies of various State departments.

Duties and responsibilities include providing for adequate office accommodations at a reasonable cost on a timely basis; determining the amount of space allowed in accordance with DAGS standards; researching and identifying available office spaces and lease rates and negotiating terms and conditions; monitoring compliance with lease agreements; and performing other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

To qualify, you must meet all of the following requirements:

LEGAL AUTHORIZATION TO WORK
The State of Hawaii requires all persons seeking employment with the government of the State shall be citizens, nationals, or permanent resident aliens of the United States, or eligible under federal law for unrestricted employment in the United States.


Education: A bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or university.

Specialized Experience: Two and one-half (2-1/2) years of progressively responsible professional work experience in property management. Such experience must have involved researching market rates and locations of available lease space; negotiating terms and conditions of leases; preparing Offers to Lease and lease contract documents; ensuring that the terms and conditions of the agreements are fulfilled; and arranging for alterations to, and maintenance, upkeep, or reconditioning of property as specified in the lease agreements. At least one (1) year of this experience must have included experience in commercial leasing.
