Base salary range: $74,441 - $96,770
Typical requirements: 1 year specialized experience at GS-11. Advanced degree + significant experience.
Note: Actual salary includes locality pay (15-40%+ depending on location).
This role involves leading a team to manage safety, health, and environmental programs in a naval shipyard, focusing on preventing accidents and injuries during industrial operations like ship maintenance.
You'll provide guidance, develop procedures, train staff, and ensure compliance with safety standards.
It's a great fit for someone with strong leadership skills and hands-on experience in workplace safety in high-risk environments like manufacturing or military settings.
You will serve as a LEAD SAFETY & OCCUPATIONAL HEALTH SPECIALIST in the ENVIRONMENTAL, SAFETY, AND HEALTH OFFICE (CODE 106) of PSNS and IMF.
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.
Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: identifying and solving complex shipyard occupational health and safety issues by planning and evaluating Occupational Safety, Health and Environmental programs to prevent injuries, accidents, or loss to personnel or property in an industrial production environment.
