Job Description

Summary

This job involves overseeing daily operations at an outdoor recreation center on a military base, helping visitors use equipment and facilities, resolving complaints, and leading a team of staff to ensure smooth service.

It's ideal for someone with customer service experience who enjoys working with the public in a recreational setting and has basic leadership skills.

No advanced degrees are needed, just proven hands-on experience in similar roles.

Full Job Description

This position is located at Outdoor Recreation, Joint Base Lewis McChord, WA. This is a Regular position, with full eligibility to participate in the NAF Employee Benefits Plans.

  • In a patron usage facility, circulates among patrons to assure service is satisfactory; receives and resolves customer complaints; provides information and general instructions on the use of equipment, facilities and machinery.
  • Assists patrons in use of the facility by checking out equipment, providing safety instructions, demonstrating new equipment, teaching classes, etc.
  • Leads the work of other employees.
  • Passes on to other workers instructions received from the supervisor and starts work.
  • Provides leadership, guidance, and oversight in program operations.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
