Full Job Description

This position is located in the Security Services Division Directorate, Security Operations Branch, Remote Delivery Facility (RDF).

In order to qualify for this position, you must meet the requirements described below.

You may qualify at the GS-11 level, if you fulfill the following qualification requirement: One year of experience in the same or similar work equivalent to at least the next lower grade level (GS-9) requiring application of the knowledge, skills, and abilities of the positions being filled.

Candidates for this position must clearly demonstrate in their resume that they possess specialized experience in 1) developing guidance for security policy and techniques to resolve complex security problems; 2) determining proper security classification methods and eligibility for access to classified or sensitive information; 3) implementing security measures to mitigate or reduce security deficiencies.

or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.M., if related OR You have a combination of doctoral education and specialized experience.

Major Duties:

Incumbent typical work assignments may include the following: Communicates and integrates the organization's strategic plan, mission, vision, and values into the team's strategies, goals, objectives, work plans, and work products and services.

Assists the RDF supervisor with the physical protection of the RDF and the safety and security of all personnel employed there.

The incumbent assists with managing the daily operation of x-ray and screening of cargo and mail entering the Pentagon Reservation.

Manages the Integrated Tracking System, tracks all National Crime Information Center request, working with the Pass and Identification Office and approves/disapproves clearances in the system based on favorable/unfavorable Information.

Develops, evaluates, and sometimes installs protection systems and devices to ensure that sensitive information, equipment, and other material is not compromised, sabotaged, stolen, misused, or subjected to terrorist, malicious mischief, or other acts of willful interference.
