This job is for a laundry worker at a hotel on a U.S.
Army base in Hawaii, where you'll sort, clean, and process linens like sheets and towels while keeping the area tidy and following instructions closely.
It's a hands-on role involving repetitive tasks in a team setting, ideal for someone reliable with good coordination who enjoys straightforward physical work and lives locally since relocation isn't covered.
People with prior laundry experience will stand out as top candidates.
Serves as a Laundry Worker in the Laundry Department of the Hale Koa Hotel. Local candidates will be reviewed first as PCS is not authorized.
If determined that area of consideration is to be expanded, all candidates will be considered. Resumes must be two pages (or less).
Resumes should clearly demonstrate the applicant's relevant experience, skills, knowledge, and abilities (KSAs) as they pertain to this position.
A qualified candidate must possess the following: Ability to follow oral and written instructions and to work well with others in a team effort.
Hand-eye coordination is required to perform repetitive tasks.
In addition to the above qualifications, candidates who possess the following qualifications will be considered "Highly Preferred" or "Best Qualified": Experience as a laundry worker Major Duties:
Performs work involving a sequence of several tasks requiring some skill and judgment with close attention to accuracy following set procedures.
Assist in preparation of stock solutions of soap, bleach and starches. Maintains record of numbers of laundered items processed in a specific period. Sort's bulk laundry by type of linen, e.g.
bed linen, table linen, towels, etc. Separates torn or stained items and reports to supervisor. Maintains laundry area in clean condition and assists in cleaning machines periodically.
Performs other duties assigned.
