This job involves hands-on maintenance and cleaning tasks at a bowling facility on a military base in Fort Dix, New Jersey, such as preparing lanes, using tools to fix minor equipment issues, and keeping the area clean and safe.

You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if the position allows for qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application.
Qualifying Experience: Must have general mechanical ability and/or experience which demonstrates the ability to use, control and clean power tools or powered equipment.
Must be able to follow oral and/or written instructions. Must be able to follow work outlines in preventive maintenance manuals.
Must be physically able to frequently lift and carry medium to heavy objects weighing up to 40 pounds. Must be able to actively bend, stoop, stand, reach and work in awkward positions. Major Duties:
Performs a variety of manual tasks necessary for the proper maintenance of the bowling facility; properly selecting and using both manual power tools and power equipment.
Prepares and conditions bowling lanes and approach surfaces/floors/walls/ceiling by cleaning, oiling and polishing.
Reads and interprets technical manuals to understand the functions of the parts or systems and to aid in analyzing problems of limited scope.
Makes minor corrective adjustments and calibrations to bowling center machinery and periodic preventative maintenance on automatic equipment.
Maintains stock levels and records on spare parts for automatic pinsetter and mechanical equipment.
Performs a variety of manual tasks necessary such as moving, arranging, collecting and cleaning equipment and materials.
Sweeps/dusts/cleans bowling alley; collects/removes trash and maintains all areas in a clean, orderly and safe fashion. Replaces burned out fuses and light bulbs.
