About the position: This position is Non-appropriated Fund (NAF) and will be assigned to the Child and Youth Program on Joint Base Andrews, Maryland.

This is a regular part time position guaranteed 20 hours per week with benefits. Who May Apply: Open to everyone.

An applicant's eligibility will be determined based on eligibility claimed in the questionnaire and proof of eligibility MUST be provided with application by the closing date, 01/20/2026 Business Based Action, Military Spouse Preference, Outside Applicant Veteran, Spouse/Widow/Parent of Veteran, and Transition Hiring Preference In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below.

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social).

You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if the position allows for qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application.

Qualifying Experience: Experience which demonstrated the ability to operate, control and clean heavy powered equipment. Ability to follow oral and/or written instructions.

Physically able to frequently lift and carry heavy objects weighing in excess of 50 pounds.

Work that requires the skills and knowledge in operating heavy equipment, continually involves extreme physical effort; such as, constantly lifting or carrying objects weighing 80 to 100 pounds or more with assistance.

Major Duties:

Performs one or a combination of the following manual labor tasks: Loads, unloads, or relocates heavy or bulky items from boxcars, trucks, and other conveyances; carriers and assembles scaffolding.

Digs ditches and trenches with pick and shovel where dirt is hard and compact; does grading and sloping; occasionally and for short periods of time, breaks up furniture, unload delivery trucks, repair furniture, dispose of waste and broken furniture, remove dirt and debris from play ground area and lawn.

Uses heavy (not domestic type) power mowers; adjust blades,and cleans and oils mowers; cuts trees, using ax or chain saw. Performs other related duties as assigned.
