Salary: $66,372.00 - $87,048.00 Yearly. The salary does not include an additional 5% premium pay for employees working in King County or an on-site 24/7 facility 5% premium.
We have multiple vacancies.The Department of Children, Youth and Families (DCYF) is accepting applications for a Juvenile Rehabilitation Specialist to cooperatively work within the Echo Glen Children's Center therapeutic treatment model, Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT).
The specialist position ensures services are developmentally appropriate, trauma informed, racial equity-based and culturally relevant.

The Opportunity:
You will provide oversight and coordinate the provision of various services to young people in Juvenile Rehabilitation care.
These services are dependent on the type of specialist, but may include mental health, youth who sexually offend (YSO), religious, and volunteer coordination for the campus.
You may support the various contractors to ensure they are fulfilling services on campus.
Some of what you will do:
Required qualifications:
An equivalent combination of education and experience totaling six years.
OR
A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution AND two years of professional experience in casework, counseling, probation and parole, social services, planning, directing, and/or facilitating youth group activities or experience in a related field.
OR
One year as a Juvenile Rehabilitation Residential Counselor (JRRC), Juvenile Rehabilitation Community Counselor (JRCC) or Juvenile Rehabilitation Counselor 2 (JRC2).
AND
Note: A Master’s degree in Psychology, Sociology, Social Work, Social Sciences, or in a related field will substitute for one year of experience.
