    Principal Duties
    As a Journey Maintenance Specialist you will provide facility/building maintenance services to state facilities using knowledge and skills in the following:
    • Plumbing
    • Electrical
    • Welding
    • Painting
    • Construction
    • Hand tools
    • Power tools

    Minimum Qualifications
    The best qualified candidate for this position will have:
    • 3 or more years of experience in facility/building maintenance.

    Additional Preferences
    Additional points will be awarded to candidates with experience in:
    • Electrical systems.
    • Heating and cooling systems.
    • Culinary and waste water piping systems.
    • Reading schematic drawings.
    • Working with computer controls.

    The Division
    The Division of Facilities Construction and Management (DFCM) is dedicated to providing professional services to assist State entities in meeting their facility needs for the benefit of the public, and is the building manager for all State owned facilities.

    Additional Information

    • Working Conditions: The work requires considerable and strenuous physical exertion such as frequent climbing, lifting heavy objects over 100 pounds, crouching or crawling in restricted areas.
    • Physical Requirements: Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs, climb ladders, work in confined areas, bend and crouch and work with hazardous chemicals. Must be able to see and hear.
    • Must be available for On Call.
    • DHRM rules apply for promotions/transfers.
