This job is for a first-line manager overseeing IT resources and activities in Michigan's state government, focusing on technology and database support for health and human services.
It involves ensuring team goals are met in areas like data integration and tools.
A good fit would be someone with a tech degree, several years of IT experience, and supervisory skills in programming or infrastructure.
The Department of Technology, Management and Budget supports the business operations of state agencies through a variety of services, including building management and maintenance, information technology, centralized contracting and procurement, budget and financial management, space planning and leasing, construction management, motor vehicle fleet operations, and oversight of the state retirement systems.
This position is with the Agency Services area of DTMB.
This position serves as a first-line manager of IT resources and activities to ensure that the objectives and goals of the Technology & Database Support division within DTMB’s Agency Services supporting DHHS are accomplished.
DTMB does not participate in STEM-OPT.This position may be eligible for a sign-on bonus of up to $3,500. Up to $1,750 to be paid upon new hire and the remainder to be paid after satisfactory completion of the initial probationary period (12-month period). This does not apply to current state employees.
