This job involves providing hands-on technical support for computers, networks, and printers across various state locations, helping employees fix IT problems and manage equipment inventories.
It's a step-up role for someone with some IT experience who enjoys troubleshooting and traveling to different sites.
A good fit would be a detail-oriented person comfortable with both technical work and communicating with non-tech staff.
Under general supervision, deliver Tier 2 technical support including installing, configuring, and troubleshooting network connectivity, desktop hardware, and software issues.
Provide support for computer hardware, printers, operating systems, and digital communications.
Act as a liaison between SCDPPPS business units and ITS customer service initiatives, focusing on the business application of IT hardware and software resources for the SCDPPPS end-user community.
Collaborate with ITS management staff and other ITS sections to identify, create, and resolve end-user support issues.
Position requires statewide travel to provide on-site technical assistance and support across multiple locations.
Assist with inventory management of IT assets, including hardware, software licenses, and peripheral equipment, ensuring accurate records and timely updates.
Perform data entry and data correction tasks related to asset tracking, service requests, and documentation to maintain accurate and organized records.
A high school diploma and experience in information technology, electronics technology systems, or other related areas. An associate degree or bachelor's degree in a related field may be substituted for the required experience.
