This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Certain Personnel of the DoD Workforce to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service.
About the Position: Recruitment/Relocation/Retention incentive may be requested through management and may be authorized up to 25% of base salary per year to be paid bi-weekly for a period of service up to 18 months.

Additional information about transcripts is in this document. BASIC REQUIREMENT: For all positions individuals must have IT-related experience demonstrating each of the four competencies listed below.
The employing agency is responsible for identifying the specific level of proficiency required for each competency at each grade level based on the requirements of the position being filled. 1.

IN ADDITION to the basic requirement above, applicants must meet the definition of specialized experience below: Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes Delivering support of IT Systems and services; resolving IT issues and problems; and providing IT assistance to customers.
This definition of general experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-07).
OR Education: Master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a master's degree or equivalent graduate degree in computer science, engineering, information science, information systems management, mathematics, operations research, statistics, or technology management or degree that provided a minimum of 24 semester hours in one or more of the fields identified above and required the development or adaptation of applications, systems or networks.
OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%.
To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12.
Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the second year (total graduate semester hours minus 36) by 18. Add the two percentages.
You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-07).
