Full Job Description

This position is located in Defense Information Systems Agency, at Fort Meade, MD.

Basic Requirements: Attention to Detail - experience reviewing my own information technology-related work or data and have been responsible for reviewing the work of others to ensure accuracy, completeness, and consistency with standards Customer Service - developing and maintaining relationships with customers, anticipating and assessing the current and future information technology needs of customers, and developing or identifying information technology products or services that are tailored to meet customer needs Oral Communication - briefing senior-level management and IT staff on the status of information technology systems, projects, or daily operations, including the communication of complex technical information to a non-technical audience Problem Solving - identifying alternatives to address unique, highly complex, or sensitive information technology-related issues.

I have anticipated information technology-related problems and have identified and evaluated potential sources of information to generate alternative solutions Qualifying Experience: For the GS-14, you must have at least one year of qualifying experience equivalent in level of difficulty and responsibility to the GS-13 grade level in the Federal service, or comparable in difficulty and responsibility to GS-13 if outside the Federal service.

Qualifying experience is defined as one year of experience which must include performing duties such as: technical assessments of complex systems OR IT architecture design/development.

In addition to meeting the qualifying experience requirements, qualified applicants must also possess the quality of experience as it relates to how closely or to what extent an applicant's background, recency of experience, education, and training are relevant to the duties and responsibilities of the announced position.

Candidates must clearly demonstrate the possession of competencies necessary to successfully perform the work of the position at the appropriate level to be qualified for the position.

  • Leads and manages projects, prioritizing tasks, resolving issues, and ensuring timely, on-budget completion while maintaining engineering standards.
  • Defines opportunities for new or improved business processes by consulting with customers to specify requirements, then developing functional and systems specifications.
  • Acts as a primary source of technical expertise, providing advanced support and guidance to staff and other agencies on information management software and complex issues.
  • Directs data analysis to identify potential risk areas and ensures the seamless integration of all system components, including procedures, databases, policies, and hardware.
  • Researches emerging technologies to drive innovation, develops new concepts to advance IT, and initiates projects in cyber, innovation, and business process improvement.
