This job involves planning and managing IT policies and resources for a naval aviation maintenance center, including budgeting for software and hardware, ensuring cybersecurity, and leading teams to support engineering work.

You will serve as an IT SPECIALIST (PLCYPLN) in the IT DEPARTMENT of FLEET READINESS CENTER SOUTHWEST.
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.
Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Planning and carrying out difficult and complex assignments; 2) Providing advice and guidance on a wide range and variety of complex IT issues; 3) Providing technical leadership on group projects; 4) Drafting IT policies and plans and participating in the IT capital planning process; 5) Integrating cybersecurity, procurement, and operational requirements into lab planning to ensure continuity of operations for mission-critical engineering workflows; and 6) Interpreting IT policies, standards, and guidelines.
Your experience must reflect skill in the following areas: attention to detail, customer service, oral communication, and problem solving.
