This job involves protecting computer systems and networks from cyber threats in the Navy, by creating security plans, analyzing risks, and ensuring compliance with rules.
It's a full-time IT role focused on information security for the military fleet command in San Diego.
A good fit would be someone with hands-on experience in cybersecurity, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to communicate technical details clearly to teams and clients.

Examples of experience demonstrating this competency include: Performing the review of system audit trains and ensuring thorough investigation of discrepancies. 2.
Customer Service - Works with clients and customers (that is, any individuals who use or receive the services or products that your work unit produces, including the general public, individuals who work in the agency, other agencies, or organizations outside the Government) to assess their needs, provide information or assistance, resolve their problems, or satisfy their expectations; knows about available products and services; is committed to providing quality products and services.
Experience demonstrating this competency include: Serving as a client manager responsible for working directly with customer organizations to customize services. 3.
Oral Communication - Expresses information (for example, ideas or facts) to individuals or groups effectively, taking into account the audience and nature of the information (for example, technical, sensitive, controversial); makes clear and convincing oral presentations; listens to others, attends to nonverbal cues, and responds appropriately.
Examples of experience demonstrating this competency include: Developing point papers, briefings, decision memorandums, and oral presentations. 4.
Problem Solving - Identifies problems; determines accuracy and relevance of information; uses sound judgment to generate and evaluate alternatives, and to make recommendations.
Examples of experience demonstrating this competency include: Reporting and advising personnel on actual or potential computer virus threats.
In addition to my experience demonstrating the four competencies above, I have qualifying experience such as: -Experience developing IT security plans, policy guidance, regulations and standard operating procedures (SOPs) to protect the integrity and confidentiality of IT systems, networks and data.
-Experience conducting in-depth analysis and problem-solving techniques. -Experience developing metrics, trend analysis and statistical reports.
-Experience ensuring the cybersecurity compliance of programs of record by conducting analysis, periodic testing, evaluation, verification and reviewing of information system modifications.
