Job Description

Summary

This job involves being an expert in cybersecurity for the Defense Logistics Agency, where you'll provide advanced technical support, troubleshoot issues, and help plan and implement secure IT systems across government networks.

It's ideal for someone with years of hands-on experience in IT security who enjoys solving complex problems and working on high-stakes defense projects.

You'll collaborate with teams to ensure enterprise-level protection against cyber threats.

Key Requirements

  • One year of specialized experience at GS-12 level or equivalent in cybersecurity, including technical guidance, analysis, and problem resolution for enterprise IT services
  • Expertise in isolating, identifying, analyzing, and resolving hardware, software, and communications problems related to cybersecurity tools
  • Experience providing Tier 3 support for secure and non-secure networks (NIPRNET and SIPRNET)
  • Ability to manage accounts, network rights, and system access for cybersecurity technologies
  • Participation in planning, designing, and evaluating feasibility studies, performance tests, and environmental assessments for IT products
  • Skills in acquisition project planning and execution, including status reporting and technical briefings
  • U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain necessary security clearance for Department of Defense work

Site specific salary information as follows: Columbus, OH: $92,475 - $120,222 Richmond, VA: $92,573- $120,350 To qualify for an IT SPECIALIST (INFOSEC), your resume and supporting documentation must include: A.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience that equipped you with the particular competencies to successfully perform the duties of the position, and is directly in or related to this position.

To qualify at the GS-13 level, applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 level or equivalent under other pay systems in the Federal service, military or private sector.

Creditable specialized experience includes: - Provides technical guidance, analysis, advice, and troubleshooting/ problem resolution on a wide range of operational problems involving enterprise Cybersecurity IT services that impact Enterprise operations and security.

- Isolates, identifies, analyzes, evaluates and resolves hardware, software and/or communications problems as they relate to Cyber Security Tools.

- Participates in planning, designing, conducting, and evaluating the results of feasibility, hardware/software performance studies, and environmental tests of next generation of assigned products for Enterprise implementation B.

Education: Applicants may not qualify for this position based on education in lieu of specialized experience.
