Summary

This job involves leading a team to handle IT purchases for the Navy, making sure customer needs for technology and services are met while following government rules.

Full Job Description

You will serve as an IT SPECIALIST (CUSTOMER SUPPORT) in the CORPORATE OPERATIONS DEPARTMENT of NAVAL SURFACE WARFARE CENTER.

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NT-04 pay band (GS-11/12 equivalent) in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.

Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Analyzing business and customer requirements to manage projects, evaluate and develop funding plans, and provide guidance on technical issues impacting Information Technology material and service procurements for an organization.

Your experience must reflect skill in the following areas: attention to detail, customer service, oral communication, and problem solving.

  • You will serve as the IT Procurement Team Lead in support of IT material and service procurements to address customer IT requirements.
  • You will assess and develop IT requirements and then provide customer support for ensuring that requested IT materials and services are coordinated and submitted in accordance with Navy and DoD IT procurement policy and regulations.
  • You will provide IT material acceptance services and integrate receipt processes into IT procurement ordering processes to ensure accuracy between requested and received IT service/material.
  • You will provide analysis of existing business process and makes recommendations to management for improving process efficiency and usability.
  • You will be responsible for the creation of process and user documentation using Microsoft Office to support process standardization and optimization.
