Specialized experience is defined as: Experience developing, implementing, coding, testing and implementation of test plans, maintaining and modifying software and automated systems; participating in systems requirement reviews.

Volunteer Experience: Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual, community, student, social).

You may qualify for consideration if meeting time-in grade, specialized experience, education requirement, 90 days after competitive appointment requirement, and all other qualification requirements within 30 calendar days after the closing date of the announcement, unless otherwise indicated on the announcement.

Major Duties:

  • Provides for development, implementation, operation, maintenance, and modification of automation information systems.
  • Analyzes requirements in order to develop or modify automated information systems to meet user requirements and reviews proposals for systems changes.
  • Prepares and executes tests for system software validation. Reviews test results for effectiveness and takes necessary corrective actions based on testing results.
  • Create test plans, scenarios, and data to successfully validate all required system changes.
  • Reviews test results for effectiveness in meeting specifications and takes necessary corrective actions based on testing results.
