This vacancy is for a GS-2210-12, IT Cybersecurity Specialist (Policy and Planning/Information Security) located in the Department of Homeland Security, U.S.
Coast Guard, C5ISC COMMAND CONTROL and NAVIGATION PRODUCT LINE in PORTSMOUTH, Virginia.
To qualify at the GS-12 grade level, your resume must demonstrate at least one (1) full year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-11 grade level in the federal or private sector.
Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the ability, skill, and knowledge to successfully perform the duties of this position and is typically in or related to this line of work.
Examples of specialized experience include performing the following types of tasks on a regular basis.

Specialized experience must include the following: Contributing to projects in which you are developing, scheduling, coordinating, or managing resources.

Installing, integrating, and optimizing information systems components. NOTE: Education cannot be substituted for experience at this grade level.

You will serve as an IT Cybersecurity Specialist (Policy and Planning/Information Security) and be responsible for managing information technology projects.
Being a Coast Guard civilian makes you a valuable member of the Coast Guard team. Typical work assignments include: Participating in the acquisition process as necessary.
Providing advice on project costs, design concepts, or design changes. Providing ongoing optimization and problem-solving support.
Developing supply chain, system, network, performance, and cybersecurity requirements.
Reviewing service performance reports identifying any significant issues and variances, initiating, where necessary, corrective actions and ensuring that all outstanding issues are followed up.
Mandatory training is required which must be successfully completed and other training may occur as necessary for success in the position. A.
Federal Acquisition Certification for Program and Project Managers Level I (FAC P/PM-I) or management determined equivalent within two years of entry into the position. B.
Information Assurance Management Level II (IAM-II) or management determined equivalent within two years of entry into the position.
