Summary
This internship involves helping with city engineering projects, such as planning designs, managing construction, and inspecting work, while learning about different public works areas like stormwater and traffic.

Full Job Description
**This is a temporary/seasonal position.**Position is responsible project management, including but not limited to, planning, design, construction management and inspection activities. Also, the candidate will work hand in hand with the stormwater, traffic, resurfacing, construction administration, curb and sidewalk, and multi modal sections to learn the responsibilities of each.
Requirements
Updates and maintains the CIP database, Master needs inventory and other tracking databases that DPW uses for project prioritization.Performs field inspections to determine the needs of the Capital program.
Attends staff and public meetings to learn public/private interactions of municipal government.

Qualifications
Working towards a degree in a technology or engineering related field. Previous internship experience in engineering or technical field. Effective written and oral communication skills.
