The Opportunity:
In this role, you will specialize in processing employee out of state payroll taxes, process payroll overpayments, provide payroll consultation, conduct audits, and assist in producing monthly and annual reports.
You will support agency culture by facilitating and modeling partnerships with internal and external customers. The work is focused on the closing of the agency payroll each pay cycle.
Our ideal candidate has a payroll background and intermediate experience using MS Excel.
We are looking for self-motivated applicants who possess excellent people skills, the ability to prioritize a time-sensitive workload, and who regularly produce accurate and timely work results.

Equivalent education/experience (five years total).
OR
Bachelor's degree, AND one (1) year of relevant professional experience.
In addition to those required qualifications, our ideal applicant will also have some or all of the following skills and/or abilities:
Bachelor’s degree, which includes at least 18 quarter or 12 semester hours of accounting, auditing or budgeting and two to three years of relevant professional experience.
Professional experience may substitute for education but not usually for the credit hours.
A Master’s degree in a financial related field, certification as a Public Accountant, Internal Auditor, Certified Governmental Financial Manager or Management Accountant can be substituted for professional experience.
