This job involves overseeing architect-engineering contracts for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, including planning, leading teams, and ensuring projects stay on budget and meet regulations.

This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Certain Personnel of the DoD Workforce to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service.
About the Position: This is a permanent position with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Middle East District, Engineering Division, in Winchester, VA.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes managing specific Architect Engineering (A-E) contract products associated with all phases of the A-E contract process in accordance with established policies and procedures; leading a A-E Contract Management team by assisting in group facilitation, coordination, coaching, problem solving, interpersonal communication, integration of work processes and products, obtaining resources; utilizing A-E contract databases and resources to manage an organization, budgeting, and planning for A-E contract assignments; and assessing a variety of fixed-price and indefinite delivery contracts and special provision clauses to negotiate various cost elements for initial contracts as well as for post-award changes and settlements to monitor contract performance of the life of contracts.
This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12).
