Full Job Description

You will serve as a INTERDISCIPLINARY ENGINEER/SCIENTIST in the SPECIAL COMMUNICATIONS MISSION SOLUTIONS DIVISION, RAPID CAPABILITY ENGINEERING GROUP of NAWCAD WEBSTER OUTLYING FIELD.

In addition to the Basic Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the (DP-04) pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.

Specialized experience must demonstrate some or all of the following: 1) Providing systems engineering direction and technical leadership to engineers, technicians, and IT professionals; 2) Implementing and managing the execution of rapid integration projects involving of Command, Control, Communications, Computer and Combat Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (C5ISR) systems, computer networks, IT systems and related audio visuals and electronic systems; 3) Leading technical innovation and organizational change to adapt with industry growth in technology; 4) Coordinating with strategic leaders and tactical partners in addition to industry to develop immediate and future solutions for the warfighter; and 5) Providing technical engineering mentorship and project management direction to subordinates and other professionals.

  • You will serve as the Land Mobile Radio (LMR) and Satellite Communications Subject Matter Expert (SME) in the Crisis Response and Interoperable Communications System Branch.
  • You will provide cross-domain solution development and integration management, ensuring interoperability, security, and compliance with evolving mission requirements.
  • You will coordinate directly with Sponsor IPT leadership to align technical solutions with budgetary, schedule, and mission objectives, enabling effective decision-making at the enterprise level.
  • You will serve as the recognized Subject Matter Expert (SME) and technical authority in LMR and SATCOM based architectures and communications systems, driving modernization and resilience of mission-critical networks.
  • You will lead IT system engineering, integration, integration, and test activities to support upgrades and modernizations, ensuring deployed systems meet or exceed operational performance standards.
  • You will direct full lifecycle efforts from planning through deployment, guaranteeing fully operational System-of-Systems (SoS) capability delivered on or ahead of schedule.
