This role involves leading the engineering efforts for unmanned systems in the Navy, ensuring that technology projects meet military needs through planning, risk assessment, and team collaboration.
A good fit would be an experienced engineer or scientist who enjoys solving complex technical problems, working in teams, and guiding projects from design to testing.

You will serve as the Chief Engineer (CHENG) for the Unmanned Systems Integrated Product Team (IPT) in the AW I&I / EWE, Product Line of NAVAIRWARCENWPNDIV CHINA LAKE.
In addition to the Basic Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-9/11) or pay band (DP-03) in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector as a professional engineer or scientist.
Specialized experience includes duties related to the following: 1) Utilizing knowledge of software systems, acquisition processes, and system engineering principles to ensure products meet warfighter requirements.; 2) Providing requirements definition, risk identification, planning, and test and evaluation support; 3) Collaborating with Integrated Product Teams to solve issues related to requirements, performance, resources, cost, and schedule.
