STRATEGIC SYSTEMS PROGRAMS (SSP)

Base salary range: $88,520 - $115,079
Typical requirements: 1 year specialized experience at GS-12. Expert-level knowledge in field.
Note: Actual salary includes locality pay (15-40%+ depending on location).
This job involves overseeing the complete process of developing and testing advanced flight systems, from initial planning and design through production, integration, and evaluation, for the Navy's strategic programs.
It requires working closely with government partners, managing budgets and contracts, and advising leaders on technical issues.
A good fit would be an experienced engineer who enjoys leading complex projects in defense technology and collaborating with diverse teams.

In addition to the basic education requirement your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level or NH-03 pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.
Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Professional engineering experience managing the full lifecycle of reentry system test and flight-test programs, including requirements, budgets, and contracts with government and industry partners.
