Note: Actual salary includes locality pay (15-40%+ depending on location).
This job involves leading an environmental division for a U.S. Army installation in Alaska, overseeing programs for environmental compliance, conservation, restoration, and pollution prevention.
The role includes supervising staff, evaluating environmental conditions, and advising senior leaders on regulations and their impact on operations.

This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Certain Personnel of the DoD Workforce to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service.
About the Position: Serves as Chief, Environmental Division and senior staff consultant on all environmental program requirements.
Provides program oversight of activities related to compliance, conservation, restoration and pollution prevention.

This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-13).
