The primary purpose of this position is to serve as a senior intelligence analyst and subject matter expert engaged in the analysis and production of information obtained and processed from multiple intelligence sources in support of Seventh Air Force (7 AF), Air Forces Korea (AFKOR), US Forces Korea (USFK), Pacific Air Forces(PACAF), US Pacific Command (PACOM) and other organizational requirements.
This is a GG-14 position in the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS).
The GG-14 duties for the "Professional" work category are at the "Senior" work level and are equivalent to those at the GS-14 level.
The selectee's salary will be set within the grade equivalent to a GS/GG grade based on the selectee's qualifications in relation to the job.
In order to qualify, you must meet the specialized experience requirements described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, Administrative and Management Positions.
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Your resume must reflect the quality level of experience which demonstrates the possession of the knowledge, skills, abilities, and competencies necessary for successful job performance required for this position.
Examples of creditable experience include: ???????a comprehensive range of intelligence research, collection methods and analytical applications and methodologies that includes the evaluation of many diverse sources of information utilizing multiple intelligence information systems in order to develop intelligence capability and threat assessments.
Note: Creditable experience may include previous military experience, experience gained in the private sector, or experience gained in another government agency.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas: 1.
Knowledge of a comprehensive range of intelligence research and collection methods, techniques, and practices to use multi-source intelligence information systems to capture data in order to make recommendations in developing intelligence capabilities, new hypotheses and theories, and threat assessments.
2. Knowledge of advanced analytical principles, concepts, and methods to produce detail analyses of complex information/situations attained from multiple sources.
This includes analysis standards, tenets and activities as described in AFI 14-133, Intelligence Analysis. 3.
Knowledge of the national intelligence community, Joint, DoD structure, organizations and mission/functions, inter-relationships and operations.
This includes knowledge of staff processes and organization at a Numbered Air Force or MAJCOM (including provisions of AFI 13-103, AFFOR Staff Operations, Readiness and Structures). 4.
Skill in conducting unbiased complex research, identifying appropriate available systems/data sources, and producing collection requirement assessments that answer specific tasks to link and leverage agency capabilities in support of consumers, customers, and clients.

Skill in communicating effectively with others, both orally and in writing, in working out solutions to problems or questions related to the work, writing clear and concise intelligence products, and delivering written and/or verbal presentations to senior level audiences for decision-making purposes.

Ability to maintain control of classified material, quickly assimilate disparate data, render knowledgeable and accurate assessments of the implication of such data, and make decisions, estimates, and recommendations under conditions of urgency and pressure based on mature judgment and experience and present and/or justify a position effectively.
CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT CONTINUED: 1.
Position is designated critical-sensitive and incumbent must be able to obtain and retain a TOP SECRET (TS) security clearance with access to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI).
A non-disclosure agreement must be signed 2.
Drug Testing: This position has been designated by the Air Force as a Testing Designated Position (TDP) under the Air Force Civilian Drug Demand Reduction Program.
Employee must pass initial and periodic short notice drug testing.
Illegal drug use by employees in sensitive positions presents a clear threat to the mission of the Air Force, national security, and public safety. 3. This is an Emergency-Essential (E-E) Position.
The incumbent must meet all requirements of E-E positions and may be required as a condition of employment to take a series of vaccinations and annual boosters to immunize against anthrax and other diseases.
In the event of a crisis situation, the incumbent or designated alternate must continue to perform the E-E duties until relieved by proper authority.
The incumbent or designated alternate may be required to take part in readiness exercises.
This position cannot be vacated during a national emergency or mobilization without seriously impairing the capability of the organization to function effectively.
This meets the criteria of an E-E position and requires that the incumbent or designated alternate be removed from any recall status. 4.
May require overtime and shift work during crisis or contingencies. 5. Korea theater of operations knowledge, experience and expertise totaling at least three years is highly desired.
PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE: Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work.
You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week.
VOLUNTEER WORK EXPERIENCE: Refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service Programs (i.e., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student and social).
Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge and skills that can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.
You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Major Duties:
DUTY 1: Serves as a senior adviser and primary consultant on intelligence analysis and production.
Leads a wide variety of complex and non-routine analysis and intelligence production projects/programs/teams to support 7 AF, AFKOR, Joint Forces Air Component Commander-Korea (JFACC-K), USFK, Combined Forces Command (CFC), PACAF, and PACOM planning and operations.
DUTY 2: Develops and presents ISR capabilities to a wide variety of service, national, and coalition customers.
Provides 7 AF Commander, Korea Air Component commanders and other customers the intelligence information and analysis derived from ISR assets to maximize their own forces' effectiveness by optimizing friendly force strengths, exploiting adversary weaknesses, and countering adversary strengths.
DUTY 3: Conducts and oversees the most complex analysis of multi-source intelligence.
Evaluates relevance and reliability of both classified and unclassified information to understand North Korean strengths, weaknesses, and centers of gravity, particularly with respect to air and air defense capabilities and Force Protection and cyber threats.
DUTY 4: Manages and oversees intelligence production. Manages and oversees intelligence production to satisfy 7 AF, AFKOR, JFACC-K, and ACC requirements.
DUTY 5: Serves as a senior technical authority on ISR issues for 7 AF/A2 leadership.
Makes professional, informed recommendations and defends to the Director and 7 AF staff decisions on operational policy matters; often required to make difficult decisions committing 7 AF funds or resources impacting future capabilities.
