Summary

This job involves working as an intelligence specialist for the Naval Criminal Investigative Service, focusing on sharing critical information and capabilities with the Drug Enforcement Administration to combat threats from international criminal groups and terrorist organizations.

Full Job Description

You will serve as an INTELLIGENCE SPECIALIST in the Naval Criminal Investigative Service (NCIS).

All Defense Intelligence positions under the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS) are in the excepted service by specific statute, 10 U.S.C.

1601.This position is in the excepted service and does not confer competitive status. This job opportunity announcement has a first cut-off of 50 applicants.

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GG/GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.

Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Facilitating the exchange of critical intelligence and capabilities between an agency and external stakeholders; Countering threats posed by Transnational Criminal Organizations (TCOs) and Foreign Terrorist Organizations (FTOs); Collecting, analyzing, interpreting, and integrating complex data from multiple sources to assess the significance of global developments; Performing comprehensive analysis, evaluation, and dissemination of information to respond to requests for information and support the operational and intelligence objectives.

  • You will facilitate the exchange of information and capabilities between the Naval Criminal Investigative Service and the Drug Enforcement Administration.
  • You will understand the mission and functions of the Naval Criminal Investigative Service and further NCIS and DEA’s mission to thwart the threat from Transnational Criminal Organizations (TCO) and Foreign Terrorist Organizations (FTO).
  • You will possess an understanding of Transnational Criminal Organizations and Foreign Terrorist Organizations’ tactics, techniques, and procedures.
  • You will collaborate with both NCIS and DEA intelligence and operational personnel, and maintain an understanding of both agencies’ activities against TCO and FTO.
  • You will collect, analyze, interpret, evaluate, integrate, and share complex data from multiple sources in assessing the relevance and significance of global developments.
  • You will perform internal and external collaboration with an enterprise-wide focus.
  • You will answer requests for information and produce output in various formats, including written and verbal, informal and formal.
  • You will perform tasks regarding the analysis, evaluation, interpretation and dissemination of information.
  • You will possess strong spelling, grammar, proofreading and communication skills. Demonstrate effective communication skills and ability to professionally interact with customers
