Full Job Description

You will serve as an INTELLIGENCE OPERATIONS SPECIALIST for the NAVAL CRIMINAL INVESTIGATIVE SERVICE.

GG-13: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GG/GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.

Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: analyzing and evaluating complex counter-terrorism, counterintelligence, and/or criminal intelligence issues (e.g.

political, social, cultural, geographic, or technical issues), and also experience with source handling, and operations/Human Derived Intelligence (HDI) collections.

  • You will plan and carry out all assignments necessary to collect needed intelligence information in his/her assigned area of responsibility.
  • You will spot, assess, and handle U.S. and non-U.S. citizens who have access to foreign intelligence information that can address national and service-specific collection requirements.
  • You will initiate collection strategies and formulates collection operations to develop human source network in order to target specific requirements and topics.
  • You will prioritize sources with the potential for yielding high quality information based on own knowledge of assigned area of responsibility and outstanding intelligence requirements.
  • You will brief high-level managers and other key personnel. Debriefs sources, gleaning maximum amount of reportable intelligence information.
  • You will produce a high volume of professional quality reporting in a timely and accurate manner. Determines dissemination to consumer base.
  • You will maintain liaison with personnel within the Service, outside intelligence agencies, operational forces, and allied governments as appropriate to discuss collection requirements and projects.
