Base salary range: $74,441 - $96,770
Typical requirements: 1 year specialized experience at GS-11. Advanced degree + significant experience.
Note: Actual salary includes locality pay (15-40%+ depending on location).
This job involves gathering and analyzing intelligence on threats like terrorism, espionage, and crimes to support naval investigations, including managing sources and producing reports for decision-makers.
It requires working in a high-stakes environment in Key West, Florida, for the Navy's criminal investigative service.
A good fit would be someone with experience in intelligence analysis and handling confidential sources who thrives in secure, operational settings.
You will serve as an INTELLIGENCE OPERATIONS SPECIALIST for the NAVAL CRIMINAL INVESTIGATIVE SERVICE.
GG-13: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GG/GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.
Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: analyzing and evaluating complex counter-terrorism, counterintelligence, and/or criminal intelligence issues (e.g.
political, social, cultural, geographic, or technical issues), and also experience with source handling, and operations/Human Derived Intelligence (HDI) collections.
