Summary

Full Job Description

You will serve as a SHOP 51 INSTRUMENT MECHANIC in the PRODUCTION RESOURCES DEPARTMENT, ELECTRICAL/ELECTRONICS and CALIBRATION SHOP (Code 950) of PEARL HARBOR NSY AND IMF.

Although a specific length of time and experience is not required for most trade and labor occupations, you must show through experience and training that you possess the quality level of knowledge and skill necessary to perform the duties of the position at the level for which you are applying.

Qualification requirements emphasis is on quality of experience, not necessarily the length of time.

  • You will repair and maintain complex electrical and mechanical instruments and equipment.
  • You will work on a variety of highly complex electrical and electro-mechanical instruments such as Temperature Monitoring Equipment.
  • You will overhaul, repair, and checkout total hydrocarbon analyzer units utilizing the principle of gas chromatography.
  • You will analyze probable causes of defect and make necessary disassembly.
  • You will repair or replace defective parts or wiring.
