This job involves teaching hands-on classes to students on aerospace manufacturing topics like bonding, electrical systems, sealants, production, and material handling at a technical college.
You'll prepare and deliver lessons in classrooms and labs, manage paperwork, ensure safety with hazardous materials, and follow Boeing's standards.
It's a great fit for someone with experience in manufacturing or training who enjoys working with students and can handle physical tasks like standing for long periods.
As a Technical Training Instructor, the primary responsibility is to educate students to standard proficiency levels in aerospace manufacturing.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Secure qualification in accordance with the Boeing Company standards as well as conduct training in compliance with the aforementioned applications as directed.
Deliver courses as written including check-in of participants. Ensure all materials are in the classroom, checking of pre-requisites and pre-work. Clean-up classrooms at the end of class.
Pick up all the necessary paperwork for courses from the Administrative office.
Complete and drop off any required information for the course to the Administrative office within 24 hours of course completion. Deliver attendance within the established deadlines.
Work with students in both the classroom and lab setting.
A bachelor’s degree and relevant experience in training, manufacturing, and/or military training, or an associate’s degree and two (2) years relevant experience in training, manufacturing, and/or military training, or a high school diploma and four (4) years relevant experience in training, manufacturing, and/or military training.
Compliance in maintaining proprietary information. Comply with Boeing’s policies, procedures and safety requirements.
Capable of handling chemicals, solvents, and hazardous materials daily, including MPK, Alcohols, Alodine, sealants, composites, and more, while prioritizing safety.
Ensure proper utilization of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as mandated. Ability to conduct training while standing for 3 or more-hour sessions.
Able to provide your own transportation to deliver training at multiple training sites.
Familiarity with manufacturing production environments, engineering drawings, manufacturing management software, curriculum development and web-based processes.
Two (2) years of aerospace training and/or manufacturing experience.
