Job Description

Summary

This job is for an Army JROTC instructor at a high school in Stuttgart, Germany, where you'll teach leadership and military skills to students, create lesson plans, and guide them in extracurricular activities.

It's a full-time seasonal role with extra pay for living abroad.

About the Position: This is a Full time seasonal Instructor JROTC (NCO, ARMY) position for Stuttgart High School, located in Stuttgart, Germany.

Federal employees in Stuttgart are currently entitled to receive a 42% Post Allowance (COLA) in addition to the base salary.

This position is covered by the Federal Education Association bargaining unit. Who May Apply: U.S.

To qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below.

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social).

You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application.

Army JROTC Certification: MUST PROVIDE JRTOC certification memo from Army JROTC headquarters.

Minimum Education Requirement: Non-Commissioned Officer (NCO) - Army JROTC NCO Instructors hold a current certification to teach JROTC from United States Army (USA) headquarters services department.

AND Specialized Experience: Must meet one of the following pathways outlined in 10 USC 2031: Junior Reserve Officers' Training Corps: A.

Retired Army Non-Commissioned Officer or Army Warrant Officer whose qualifications are approved by the Secretary and the institution concerned and who request such employment; B.

Army Non-Commissioned Officer or Army Warrant Officer who are separated with an honorable discharge within the past 5 years with at least 8 years of service and are approved by the Secretary and the institution concerned and who request such employment; or C.

Army Non-Commissioned Officer or Army Warrant Officer who are active participating members of the selected reserve at the time of application, for purposes of section 101(d) of this title, and have not yet reached retirement eligibility and are approved by the Secretary and the institution concerned and who request such employment.

**Note** Only Army Non-Commissioned Officer or Army Warrant Officer applicants are eligible.
