Base salary range: $147,649 - $221,900

This entry-level role trains individuals to help with fire safety inspections in buildings and properties across Pasadena, focusing on checking for code compliance and assisting in public education on fire prevention.

The Pasadena Fire Department- Fire Prevention Division is seeking a dedicated and motivated individual with a strong work ethic to join our team.
The Fire Inspector Trainee Program is to cooperate with and assist Pasadena Fire Inspectors and Operations Personnel conduct fire and life safety inspections while providing an opportunity for the Fire Inspector Trainee to gain experience in Fire Prevention, Fire Administration, and Fire Prevention Training.
The Fire Inspector Trainee Program consists of entry-level fire inspector candidates who have successfully completed college-level courses in Fire Technology and California State Fire Marshal Fire Inspector courses and seek practical application of the classroom training received.
