Apply for this Information Technology Generalist 1 position with our Enterprise Technology Services Office’s Workstation Operations & Technical Services staff.
Our team of specialists performs operating systems support, installation, maintenance, configuration, and troubleshooting of computer environments and operations for various program areas within the northeastern region of Pennsylvania, as well as provides day-to-day support to the Bureau of Disability Determination (BDD).

In this position, you will be responsible for a variety of IT support functions within a specific geographic region of the Commonwealth.
Work involves resolving technical hardware and software problems through the provision of exceptional customer service, maintaining network performance and reliability, maintaining the inventory of our department’s computer resources, and researching and evaluating new products and technologies to improve operations and help meet customer needs.
You will also assist with office relocation functions, major infrastructure project roll outs, and physical site planning, as well as perform on-site inspections during the construction phase.
This includes installing and setting up new hardware, software, and physical infrastructure network devices and data cabling.
We will rely on you to serve as an expert resource on network connectivity, problem resolution, and the installation and configuration of newly acquired or upgraded hardware and software, and to collaborate with other IT staff to resolve more complicated connectivity and performance issues.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) full-time.
In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania.
If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office. The ability to telework is subject to change at any time.
