Position Summary:
The Compliance Analyst is responsible for supporting the security, maintenance, and daily operation of Student Affairs information systems while monitoring and evaluating the effectiveness of compliance and privacy controls across departments.
This role assists investigations of complaints and potential violations, documents findings, and reports results to management, while supporting senior analysts in identifying privacy risks and system vulnerabilities.
The analyst participates in incident response and remediation efforts, communicates compliance requirements, and helps deliver training and awareness programs.
Additional responsibilities include contributing to audits, conducting investigations related to regulatory compliance, advising on system usage and security, collaborating with staff and the HIPAA Compliance Officer to improve systems, coordinating user training, developing documentation and process diagrams, and maintaining the computer systems equipment inventory database.
Primary Job Duties
• Supports the development of compliance documentation to guide employees in confirming that compliance standards are incorporated into the agency’s processes, initiatives and development of information systems.
• Assists in the investigation and documentation of complaints and reports results to management.
Perform investigations, accountability audits and other duties related to alleged violations of all applicable statutes, standards, rules, and regulations.
Documents information security and privacy audit results and findings and prepares them for internal review.
• Monitor division software and applications process to make sure they all go through TRB Technology Review Board and have the appropriate sign offs from compliance. Assists with audits for divisional software and hardware. Create, analyze, test and implement Group Policies.
