Base salary range: $37,764 - $49,094
Typical requirements: 1 year specialized experience at GS-5. Bachelor's degree + some experience.
Note: Actual salary includes locality pay (15-40%+ depending on location).
This job involves working as a technician to check workplaces for health risks like chemicals, noise, or germs that could harm workers, especially in Navy settings.
You'll collect samples, keep records, and help ensure safe environments by following health guidelines.

Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-06 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.
Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience and practical knowledge of industrial hygiene concepts, principles and practices applicable to the design and performance of industrial hygiene surveys and exposure monitoring.
Experience utilizing Defense Occupational and Environmental Health Readiness System (DOEHRS-IH).
Experience performing sampling of potential health hazardous exposures to chemical, physical, and biological stressors in a variety of workplaces.
