The Department of Revenue's (DOR) Information Services division is looking for an IT System Administrator - Journey who will serve as our Imaging System Specialist (Administrator) on the Imaging team in the E-Commerce & Business Systems section. This team is responsible for supporting the Imaging system applications, processes and end users.

This team is responsible for supporting the Imaging system applications, processes and end users.

Requirements

This position supports Revenue's "Integrated Document System (IDOCS)" environment. Responsibilities include systems analysis, application and workflow configuration, user rights and security, development, coordination, customer service, and maintenance of the enterprise system composed of multiple customized off-the-shelf (COTS) software applications. The position has experience with Enterprise Content/Document Management software, tools and services to seek out innovative solutions that meet the agency's business needs, strategic goals, or initiatives.

Below are some other responsibilities associated with the position:
  • Plan and complete complex administration, configuration, development and maintenance of the enterprise document management system.
  • Solicit customer requirements to understand business needs and provide expert consultation on best practices to meet those needs, including the incorporation of new technologies.
  • Plan and implement software architecture in coordination with other technology teams and staff.
  • Respond to complex issues and questions from customers on existing systems, applications and workflows.
  • Provide expert-level technical support and troubleshooting of problems that affect performance within the systems and independently make corrections to improve performance to acceptable levels.
  • Provide escalated support for the imaging systems and tools.
  • Provide industry technical expertise and extensive knowledge to team or business stakeholders on document management and records management.
  • Collaborate with manager/supervisor and/or project managers in estimating task efforts and validating activities while working on projects.
  • Ensure quality work by conducting code reviews, coordinating regression tests and reviewing system documentation completed by team members.



Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess the following knowledge, skills, and abilities in the following areas:

  • Progressive experience maintaining and enhancing complex Enterprise Content Management (ECM) or document management applications and systems (e.g., Unisys Infolmage, Laserfiche, OpenText, Kofax Capture, ILINX Capture, etc.).
  • Progressive experience administering IT systems using industry standard methodologies and practices; and/or leading/supervising or developing staff with responsibility for production systems.

    This experience must also include consultative experience in information technology system analysis and troubleshooting or problem resolution.

  • Proficiency with MSOffice Software products such as Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.
  • Working knowledge of programming languages such as SQL, VB.NET, C#, C, etc.

Preference may be granted to candidates who possess:

  • A bachelor's degree in an information technology field with an emphasis in software development and hardware support.
  • Five (5) years of experience maintaining and enhancing complex Enterprise Content Management (ECM) or document management applications and systems (e.g., Unisys Infolmage, Laserfiche, OpenText, Kofax Capture, ILINX Capture, etc.).
  • Four (4) years of experience administering IT systems using industry standard methodologies and practices; and/or leading/supervising or developing staff with responsibility for production systems.

    This experience must also include consultative experience in information technology system analysis and troubleshooting or problem resolution.
