Base salary range: $147,649 - $221,900

This job involves processing payroll, managing employee leave, and handling personnel actions to ensure accurate and timely payments for staff in Alaska's Department of Fish and Game.
You'll work in a supportive team environment in Juneau, supporting managers and employees with HR tasks while following state rules and procedures.

The Alaska Department of Fish and Game, Division of Administrative Services is recruiting
for two (2) Human Resource Technician 2's located in Juneau, Alaska!

Six months of entry technical level experience in human resource work equivalent to a Human Resource Technician 1 with the State of Alaska or the equivalent elsewhere.
Substitution:
Graduation from high school or the equivalent and one year of advanced clerical experience.
Substitution:
One year of postsecondary education (32 semester hours or 48 quarter hours from an accredited college or university equals one year) in any field.
Special Note:
High school graduation "equivalent" means one of the following: 1) a G.E.D (i.e.
passing the General Educational Development test).; 2) completion of any basic adult education course of 480 class hours (16 weeks at 30 hours per week); 3) six months of work experience performing duties related to office or clerical support; 4) twelve months of work experience involving some routine tasks related to office or clerical support; 5) highest grade of school completed plus any kind of work experience that totals 12 years or more; or 6) acceptance for admission in full standing by an accredited college or university.
"Human resource" work includes experience in recruitment and selection, classification, employee training, employer provided benefits programs, employment law compliance, personnel, payroll, or employee or labor relations.
