Base salary range: $41,966 - $54,557

Note: Actual salary includes locality pay (15-40%+ depending on location).
This job involves leading a team to manage military personnel programs for Air Force Reserve units, including planning force management, advising commanders on HR matters, and handling administrative tasks like orders and data systems.
It's a technician role that also includes training reservists.

The primary purpose of this position is to serve as Chief, Force Management in administering all aspects of the section. This is an Air Reserve Technician (ART) position.
Additionally, trains Reservist in the accomplishment of tasks set forth herein.
In order to qualify, you must meet the specialized experience requirements described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Administrative and Management Positions, SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Applicants must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-07 level in federal service (or equivalent in other pay systems) in which equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities (KSAs) to perform successfully the duties of the position.
Specialized experience is experience which may have been gained assisting to develop military personnel policies, procedures, rules, guidelines, publications, reports, and correspondences, in conjunction with utilizing automated systems, personal computers, and software.
OR EDUCATION: Master's or equivalent graduate degree or two full years of progressively higher level graduate education in an appropriate field leading to such a degree or LL.B. or J.D.

Knowledge of military personnel policies, procedures, rules, guidelines, and publications. 2. Knowledge of unit mission and of installation Personnel Readiness programs. 3.
Comprehensive knowledge of automated systems, personal computers, and software. 4. Ability to analyze data/products. 5. Understand civilian personnel guidelines and the master labor agreement. 6.
Good knowledge and control of the English language and ability to communicate effectively with diverse groups of individuals, both orally and in writing.
PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE: Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work.
You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week.
VOLUNTEER WORK EXPERIENCE: Refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service Programs (i.e., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student and social).

You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Major Duties:
1. Plans, directs, and controls all aspects of the Force Management programs for both Active Guard Reserve (AGR) and unit reservist. 2.
Serves as advisor to commanders on unit Human Resources (Military) programs. 3.
Provides Human Resources management (Military) advisory services to commanders and staff on all Force Management programs. 4.
Administers actions in Automated Reserve Orders Writing System-Reserves (AROWS-R). 5. Ensures accuracy of Personnel Data System (PDS) and performs functional review of data reliability. 6.
May be required to perform Installation Personnel Readiness duties and/or assist as directed.
