Base salary range: $62,107 - $80,737
Typical requirements: 1 year specialized experience at GS-10. Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree, or 3 years graduate study.
Note: Actual salary includes locality pay (15-40%+ depending on location).
This job involves advising managers on employee and labor relations issues, such as handling disputes, disciplinary actions, and negotiations with unions, within the U.S.
Navy's human resources team in Virginia. You'll act as a consultant to solve complex workplace problems and ensure fair treatment for employees and management.
It's a good fit for someone with HR experience who enjoys researching issues, communicating clearly, and helping resolve conflicts in a structured government setting.
You will serve as a HUMAN RESOURCES SPECIALIST in the LABOR AND EMPLOYEE RELATIONS DEPARTMENT of FLEET HRO NORFOLK.
GS-11: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.
Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience applying knowledge of general human resources management.
Experience assisting with writing documents to prepare findings in labor and employee relations.
Experience gathering and evaluating case facts, developing recommendations for and assuring the implementation of appropriate corrective actions.
Experience conducting research to identify courses of action after problem identification.
Experience and skill in written and oral communication to prepare and present findings in a logical and clear manner.
GS-12: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.
