Base salary range: $24,729 - $31,093

You will serve as a HUMAN RESOURCES SPECIALIST (CLASSIFICATION/RECRUITMENT & PLACEMENT) in the CLASSIFICATION and SPECIAL PROJECTS DEPARTMENT (C20) of PORTSMOUTH NAVAL SHIPYARD.
GS-0201-12 Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.
Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: * Experience developing and refining HR methods and procedures to ensure compliance with federal regulations and deliver efficient and effective HR service delivery.
* Experience advising management on recruitment and placement processes, talent acquisition, and/or succession/strategic planning regulations, policies, and practices.
* Experience serving as a strategic and technical resource to management and other HR Specialists on difficult or controversial issues.
* Experience applying a wide variety of HR laws, regulations, policies, and concepts including recruitment, staffing, classification, and position management principles.
GS-0201-11 Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.
Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: * Experience applying a wide variety of HR laws, regulations, policies, and concepts including recruitment, staffing, classification, and position management principles.
* Experience in conducting research and determining appropriate application of laws, regulations, policy, or other directives and interpretative instructions for use in assigned HR action.
* Experience utilizing various database systems and computer applications to query, retrieve, and analyze information in order to complete assignments.
* Experience writing clear and concise explanations of policy, regulations, decisions documents etc. for various audiences.
