WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR Minimum Qualifications: You must have one year specialized experience to successfully perform the duties of the position.
To be creditable, specialized experience must have been equivalent to at least the GS-09 grade level in the Federal service performing ALL of the following: Researching, interpreting, and applying Federal human resources laws, regulations, and policies to support staffing and recruitment actions.
Reviewing and evaluating applications to determine eligibility, qualifications, and ranking for competitive/noncompetitive hiring authorities.
Responding to inquiries, resolving HR problems, and ensuring timely and accurate guidance. OR Ph.D.
or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.M., if related in human resources or other field of study with course work directly related to the work of the position to be filled.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING DAY TO DAY As a Human Resources Specialist, you will use your knowledge of and experience to optimize business results and customer experience by: Assist in the development and revision of policy guidance, standard operating procedures, and instructional materials, and may provide training and technical assistance to supported organizations.
Serve as a team member on cross-functional and ad hoc workgroups tasked with evaluating HR challenges and identifying innovative strategies and flexibilities that support mission accomplishment.
Research issues, analyze findings, prepare summaries, and present recommendations to senior leadership.
