This job involves supporting the recruitment process for the Navy by reviewing eligibility for service, handling enlistment applications, and managing personnel records in Cleveland, Ohio.
You'll use computers and regulations to process paperwork, answer questions, and prepare reports for military applicants.
It's a good fit for someone with basic office experience who is detail-oriented, good at communicating, and comfortable with data entry and following rules.
You will serve as a HUMAN RESOURCES ASSISTANT (MIL) in the Military Entrance Processing Services Cleveland OH of NAV RECRUITING DISTRICT COLUMBUS.
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-04 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.
Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Interpreting and applying regulations and precedents related to personnel programs to include routine and non-routine actions; 2) Communicating effectively both orally and in writing to obtain needed information, complete required applicant processing, and explain decisions or recommendations to applicable parties; 3) Performing a variety of basic automated operations and functions for the maintenance and submission of personnel records; and 4) Utilizing computer applications and software to perform a variety of automated operation and functions, such as retrieving documents or files, preparing reports, and responding to emails.
