Job Description

Summary

This role involves helping offenders in the probation and parole system find suitable housing and connect with support services, while also managing a directory of approved providers by recruiting, auditing, and evaluating them.

It supports both people in institutions and those in the community under supervision.

A good fit would be someone organized and detail-oriented with experience in social services or case management, who is comfortable working with sensitive populations and ensuring quality standards.

Key Requirements

  • High school diploma with relevant program experience, or preferably a bachelor’s degree with related experience
  • Ability to perform housing-related case management for institutionalized and community-based offenders
  • Skills in recruiting and onboarding service providers to the Service Provider Directory (SPD)
  • Proficiency in auditing and maintaining accurate provider details and activity status in the SPD
  • Experience conducting quality assurance evaluations and investigations of providers
  • Capability to distribute approved providers lists and assist with ongoing projects
  • Strong organizational and communication skills for working under general supervision

Under the general supervision of the Community Relations Manager, the Housing and Service Provider Specialist is responsible for housing-related case management duties for institutionalized and community-based SCDPPPS offenders, the recruitment and onboarding of service providers to the Service Provider Directory (SPD), auditing the SPD to maintain accurate reflections of provider and provider details and activity status, maintaining and distributing approved providers lists, conducting quality assurance evaluations and investigations of providers, and assisting with additional ongoing projects.



Requirements

A high school diploma and relevant program experience.

Qualifications

A bachelor’s degree and experience related to the position.
