Job Description

Summary

This job involves managing family housing programs for military personnel and civilians on a naval base in Guam, including conducting inspections, overseeing referrals, and handling contracts with property managers.

Full Job Description

You will serve as a HOUSING MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST of US NAVAL BASE GUAM. A Cost-of-Living-Allowance (COLA) of 11.88% will be added to the stated salary. COLA is subject to change at any time.

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.

Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: planning and coordinating the execution of family housing programs; monitoring the management and utilization of housing assets and resolving a variety of housing problems and concerns.

Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. Major Duties:

  • You will conduct surveys, reviews, and inspections to determine current conditions and future requirement.
  • You will implement Department of Defense (DoD), Chief of Naval Operations (CNO) and Commander, Navy Installations Command (CNIC) policies and procedures pertaining to the operation and management of family and private rental housing.
  • You will oversee housing referral operations to ensure information and assistance is provided to all logistically supported personnel, which includes military, Department of Navy and non-DoN civilians.
  • You will be responsible to draft contracts for negotiation with property managers and consults with CNM legal, inset dwellings and quarterly reports to CNIC
  • You will develop policies and procedures in accordance with laws and regulations governing civilians occupying housing.
  • You will ensure civilians are counsel on rental procedures and are assigned to housing according to their military grade equivalency.
