The Department of Transportation is seeking a Highway Foreman 3 in Lancaster County.
In this role, you will supervise a specialized highway maintenance crew responsible for performing skilled labor and operating heavy equipment to complete major highway maintenance and minor construction projects.
This position oversees year-round planning, execution, and completion of all phases of assigned projects, ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality work across the district.

In this role, you will oversee and coordinate the work of a specialized highway maintenance crew, ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality completion of major maintenance and minor construction projects throughout the district.
Key ResponsibilitiesPlan, schedule, and directly supervise a crew of equipment operators and laborers using heavy construction equipment and hand tools to perform specialized highway maintenance activities, including paving, surface treatment, small bridge work, overhead sign structure installation, and traffic line painting.
Maintain accurate work records and promptly report unusual incidents, injuries, or equipment damage.
